Stuff I LOVE Monday (from now on)

I’m switching my stuff I LOVE posts to Mondays.  While I don’t LOVE Mondays I just find the weekends too hectic sometimes to post.  I don’t LOVE Mondays because it means my hubby is back to work for the week.  And Mondays around here are “catch up days”.  So I thought I would talk about stuff I LOVE on Mondays, so that I can feel all warm and fuzzy, before I spend the day catching up on laundry, tidying, cleaning, blah blah blah.

I LOVE making stuff!!  It is pretty handy being able to make or fix things myself.  I think handmade is better!!  The only problem with that is when I am shopping and see something I like, I often don’t buy things because I look at them and think “I could make that”.  This is a problem because when am I honestly ever going to get around to making it??

Before we left for Toronto a couple weekends ago, I whipped up this cowl while the boys were eating their breakfast…

Please ignore the dirty mirror (hairspray is a bugger to get off!) and my faux smile.  The cowl kept me so warm for the 4 hour Santa Claus Parade.

I had been admiring these yarn ball wreaths…

I wanted to make one, but I could not find a wreath form anywhere in my little town.  So I decided to spruce up this boring clock that I had.

I think it is the perfect addition to my cave!

It is fun making things for the boys…

Meet Melvin and Leroy, D and M’s sock monkeys that I made and they sleep with them every night.  I still want to make a hat for Leroy, he is a little plain compared to Pirate Melvin.

These are the boys crib quilts I made (I tried to take a picture of just the quilts but the boys insisted they were in the picture… can you tell they are both saying “cheese”)  D is in a double bed now but he likes to sleep with “his blanket” still.  I was going to try to make a double sized quilt for him, but there is just too much on the “to make” list right now!!

I LOVE sewing, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, making jewelry (jewellery? this confuses me all the time which is it?), etc. etc. etc.

Handmade is better!!!
