I love reading just beachy’s blog. Chris’ home is beautiful and I am inspired every day looking at pictures of her house. I love the beachy decor and colours. I live 3km from the beach and would love to live right on the beach but I think decorating my house with beachy decor would be good enough. I love painted stripes on walls, I have been seeing them more and more as I read people’s blogs.

Yesterday I decided I wanted to try these stripes. I thought it would be best to start off with a small wall. So I decided to pick this wall that leads to my front foyer.
I used the leftover paint from my kitchen to make the stripes, here is the progress…

Voila!! I even painted that ugly wooden doorbell cover.
I love it! I can’t stop looking at it, I am eventually painting the trim white, so I think it will look a lot better. And I just need something to hang here.
I broke the news to my husband yesterday that I will be painting the stairs in the front foyer black and white. He was surprisingly ok with it, I think as long as I promise I won’t make him do the work he is fine with whatever.

I am going to be painting the walls grey and trim all white. I’m debating about maybe putting beadboard under that chair rail. And oh yeah, at the top left corner that is the mirror I bought the other day. It was gold and I painted watered down Aqua Marine paint on it. I like it!!
I like the matte finish on it but I do need to seal the paint with something so I’m not sure what to do. Anyways, I hope you’re enjoying your day!!
