On March 21, 2012 my Dad was diagnosed with Leukemia, full story here. After sitting around in hospitals (and only having access to poor food choices) I was starting to not feel great about myself. So I decided to try to do the INSANITY program, you can read about it here. But I didn’t stick with it (I know, I know, *insert the I could’ve guessed that here*). But then I really went for it!! On March 2013, I committed to the full 60 day INSANITY program. Seriously! I really did!! And the results… well they were AMAZING!! I was the fittest I had ever been, I was so happy, and not only was I strong physically, but I was amazed at my strength and determination for getting through those 60 days!!
Here comes the but…
I lost that strength. In fact, I lost any little bit of strength I had in January 2014, when my Dad lost his battle. I ended up in a battle.. a battle of daily life, a battle to (for lack of better words) give a shit. I ended up a miserable lump. I abused my body; I started using alcohol to help me sleep, I used food (horrible foods) as comfort, and I gave up on my physical fitness.
Well, after almost 2 years (and gaining 30lbs), I have decided to snap out of it!! I can’t believe I have let it go this far! But, it is only going forward from here.
The focus of this blog is now health, beauty, fitness, and life. Seeking the happy life!! I would like to share some of my “after” photos from “before”. I will not frighten you with my “before” photos now, but I am starting the 21 Day Fix today. So you will get to see my “before” photos (lucky you) in 21 days after I rock this program and get to show you my results!!
So for now, this is my motivation and inspiration to get back on track…
