It is pretty gloomy outside today. We had great weather all weekend, until last night… There was a major thunderstorm. I’m not one of those people who enjoy storms, I was terrified the lightening was so close, too close! Now today, it’s just a cloudy day. Perfect day to get the sewing machine out!! So today I pulled the machine out to get working on it. I’m almost done the top so it won’t take long to finish the whole thing. I just have to find the time to work on it.
I’ve also been dying to finish wallpapering this wall at my back entrance. When we moved in it had a cream coloured wallpaper that had an ivy pattern on it. My girlfriend just built a house and gave me the leftover wallpaper she had, which I thought would be plenty to do this wall, but this is what I got out of it…
I loved this wallpaper but didn’t get a chance to get out and buy any more and so the entrance looked like this for a while. I was getting frustrated with it not being finished, so when I was shopping at Walmart I found this black and white damask wallpaper. I decided to get it and I love how it turned out!!! Still a little sad about getting rid of the stuff that my girlfriend gave me because I loved it too.
I hope the sun comes out this week, because I am dying to get back to the beach!!
…and stick my toes in the water!
