I had a great time away with my girlfriends, I still don’t think I have caught up on my sleep yet though. Saturday morning, my mom and the kids and I went to Oliphant. They have a little (tiny) flea market every Saturday morning in the summer. I am so glad we decided to go because I found this awesome mirror!!
I haven’t decided yet where it is going, it is too big for the place I had in mind. I am also going to paint it black or turquoise. I have been looking for something to make into a chalkboard for our dining room, so it might end up there.
Back in June when we went to Niagara Falls for our anniversary, we went on a couple of wine tours. There were amazing houses near the winerys (sp?). I love love love this house…
Our house is a raised bungalow, and we have wood siding that is stained natural. I really wish it wasn’t the colour it is. I have thought about painting it but I’m not sure how much work it is to paint over stain. I love grey houses, but our roof shingles are brown (grr). My husband isn’t much for maintenance so he wants to take the siding off and do board and batten vinyl siding. I wish there was a way to achieve the look in the picture without spending tons of $$ on new wood siding. We will just have to keep postive thoughts and our fingers crossed for Lotto Max!! Does anyone know if it is cheaper to switch to vinyl siding, or can I just paint over the stained wood siding we already have??
