Our house has wood siding and I think it is almost ready for a touch up, but I hate the colour that it is.
It’s not brown paint, it is actually a stain that has a hint of orange in it. My garage (in the back there) is really orange. The bottom of the front of the house is red brick. I love gray houses, I really love the look of this house that I found on the way to the wineries in Niagara.
I love the look of the weathered wood. My parents have this old barn in their yard (well it’s a shed but we call it a barn) I love the character it has. This is the only picture I have of it, it is from our wedding day (I really was happy and excited to get married but I didn’t realize my picture was being taken).
And over at my inlaws, the guys had their pictures taken infront of their “cabin” behind
their house.
I love the chippy paint!! Anyways back to the point of this post, I was playing around on the internet (story of my life) and I found that on the Behr paint website you can upload your own pictures to change the colour of your room. So I was playing around with it… here is what the house would look like if it were gray,

And I’ve been liking the blue siding that I’ve seen on houses, here is what mine would look like,
I think I like this one, if I painted gray it would mean that I would have to redo the shingles as well, but this one I think I could get away with having brown shingles. I have always loved and wanted a gray house and I think I would tire of this blue. Oh and did you notice I painted the deck white. How big of a job is it to change the exterior colour of your house?? My husband would like to take the wood off and go with vinyl siding, but I don’t mind having to paint it.
Sorry this post was a little boring I just thought that this program was neat to see what your house could look like a different colour. What colour do you like best?
