My “visions” for 2011

As promised, this is what my foyer looks like now…
I still need to hang the banister back up (it will be black). I just love it, it’s exactly what I wanted!!! The pictures in that frame are all from our wedding, above it to the ceiling I will be hanging all the pictures from our picture wall…
…because I have plans for that wall, but that would be a whole other blog post so stay tuned!!
Now on to my “visions” for 2011!!
This is my vision board
What is a vision board, you ask?  Well, have you ever seen (or heard of) the movie   The Secret?  If not, it is basically saying that anything is possible through the power of positive thinking.  And it encourages you to make a “vision board”.  The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, etc., your life changes to match those images and those desires.
I totally believe everyone should have a vision board!!  A little story to tell you how I became a believer:
When I lived in my old house, I had a vision board on the wall beside my bed, so that I would look at my wishes before going to sleep.  When we had our house up for sale I decided to take it down, since strangers would be coming through my house and see all of these silly things on a bulletin board beside my bed (I didn’t think it was a great selling feature).  But then the house wasn’t selling and I was getting frustrated with the process, so I decided to put it back up.  I was so happy that I did because one of the things on my board was the Real Estate listing for the house I am living in today.  When I went to bed that night I thought about my phone ringing, and it being my Real Estate agent calling with an offer.  And, I’m not even kidding, the phone rang the next morning, and it was my agent with an offer!!!  I might be a little bit crazy, but I’m not making this up!!
So I’ve decided to make another board, and it is hung in my cave.  Here are some of my hopes, wishes, dreams…
1. This spring I would like to start a vegetable garden.
2. The picture is hard to see, but it is a filigree heart.  For me, it symbolizes a few things, it is actually the next tattoo I’m getting, my tattoo artist already has it drawn up.
3. Again picture is hard to see, but my husband and I would like to run the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront (Half) Marathon on October 16.
4. I have always wanted an Airstream trailer!!  Even an old one that I could fix up, I will have one someday.
5. I will get rid of my momma belly, haha!
6. Get organized!!!! In all aspects of my life!!!
7. My bathrooms will be pretty someday!!
8. I will be riding my leopard print cruiser bicycle by the summer!! (I will post about it when I get working on it)
9. I will have a beautiful shoulder tattoo. (Sorry Mom)
10. Okay so I know I won’t get Wentworth Miller (that’s not positive thinking, haha), but he is on my “list”.  On Friends, (The One with Frank Jr.), Ross and Chandler decide to do a list of the 5 celebrities they are allowed to sleep with.  My husband and I have these lists (not on paper), his seems to be expanding, he’s got Salma Hayek and Kim Kardashian on his.  Mine, just Wentworth Miller, I could probably even laminate mine, haha.  In dream world, I only have eyes for Went!
That’s all for now, remember you are meant to have an amazing life!!  You just have to believe it!!!
