I have quite a few projects I would like to do around this house. I’m calling it my 2011 Home Projects wish list, because I know that I won’t likely get half of them done, especially if I don’t find a money tree soon!! Here we go…
We’ll start with the kitchen…
See all those purple stars? those are things that need to be done:
*new Countertops
*new flooring
*get rid of the ugly range hood thingy
*move oven to where fridge is
*move fridge to where microwave cupboard is
*move microwave cupboard to beside dishwasher
*get a new over the range microwave
*get rid of giant ugly light in the kitchen and replace it with a prettier one
*get a new sink
*replace backsplash
*another coat of paint on cabinets
*paint inside of pantry
*get rid of or move island to middle of kitchen so it is more useful
*take out built in shelf and cut a hole through so I can see into the living room (next picture)
*once the hole is cut add a countertop and bar stools
The next pic is where the hole will be cut through…

To make this happen I need to get this sink from Ikea…

For the floor I like these two options from Home Depot…
 Quickstyle Paradiso  Quickstyle Paradiso For the countertops I would like shiny black ones…  I like this backsplase from Home Depot… For the island, I would just use the one I already have but I would move it to the middle of the kitchen. It is hard to tell from the picture (above) but there is a lot of walking space in the middle of the kitchen. Right now I drag the stainless table into the middle of the kitchen to prepare food. If I use the island we have I would probably paint it black and add butcher block for the countertop. While reading my blog list I came across this kitchen renovation on *Remodelaholic*. I love what they did with their island, and I have been searching for a buffet on kijiji ever since.
Well I think that is about it!! Next part I will go into the living and dining room… …but we’ll save that for tomorrow!! bye for now!! ♥Maximum |
